Can I check out the club before I join?
Is there a minimum membership duration?
Membership is paid monthly and you can leave the club at any time and cease to be a member.
The only thing to be aware of is that we charge a joining fee, and this applies every time you join the club - you will need to repay it if you cancel your membership and then rejoin.
I am completely new to squash, what should I do?
We have a lot of options to help you get into the sport whether you are looking for a social run around, competitive success or something in between.
We regularly run beginner coaching, women's group coaching and junior coaching that will help you get started on understanding the rules and get you moving on the court and sustaining some rallies with your opponents and friends.
If you would rather start out on your own you can book a court and give it a go. You don't need to hire equipment, as we can provide racquets & balls along with your court hire, but you will need your own non-marking court shoes. Once you know you want to play squash, then you'll want your own gear, which may be purchased directly at the club's shop or at our sponsor Anderson & Hill who stocks the club shop but has a larger range at their own premises.
If you would like to talk your options over please call Paul, Club Manager, on 027 531 7012
I am moving to Christchurch, can I transfer my existing club membership?
Unfortunately not. You can try to get a rebate from your current club if you have paid an annual fee, but we can't waive membership fees as your current club won't transfer any membership fees to us.
Do you run school programs?
Yes we do.
We have a number of excellent coaches at the club and can arrange sessions during school hours as needed.
It's easiest to arrange these directly as every school needs something a little different.
Please drop us a mail or call our Club Manager Paul - 027 531 7012
