Good Morning Members
Welcome to September and a dropping of a Covid alert level.
I hope you and your family are keeping well and coping at this challenging time.
Unfortunately going to level 3 today still requires the Christchurch Squash club to remain closed.
Hopefully Canterbury can go down to level 2 next week, and you can start playing squash again.
I will be heading to the club this week to prepare the complex ready for a level 2 opening.
Once I have received the government’s final guidelines/rules for indoor sports and Squash NZ expectations I will forward these on to you.
It will be very important that all members and visitors comply to these rules to make it a safe
environment for everyone.
Finally, if you do need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for your continued support.
Paul Growcott - Club Manager
Paul Coll - British Squash Open Champion
Most you would have heard from social media that Paul Coll won the British Squash Open final last week, making him the first NZ male to win this prestigious event.
This outstanding performance is the result of all his hard work and dedication over the years.
If you don’t know, Paul is on the Christchurch Squash club grading list. Unfortunately,Paul has been out the country for the past 3 years and hasn’t had an opportunity to get home and play at our new facility.
We are looking forward to seeing Paul at our courts when he is next back in Christchurch.
Here are a couple of links if you would like to watch Paul winning the British Open.
